Bottle of Beerenburg from the early 1990s. De barcode, containing 710631, indicates that the product was made in the Herman Janson/UTO time, i.e. definitely after 1971.

After too long an absence, Plantinga Beerenburg was re-introduced in 2008 as "Boalsert 'KP' Beerenburg". This was the originally intended new front label (notice presence of the name 'Plantinga' that was later discovered not to be allowed due it being a registered trademark). Note the signature, which is not the Plantinga signature on any other products. Apparently this is a random signature. The finally released products had different labels. Pictures provided by Johan van der Weide.

After the design change (without the 'Plantinga' name), this became the new front label... The signature is still the "random" one. Note the first part of the bar code on the rear label, 710631, which is the code for UTO/Herman Jansen and tells us it's still made by them or one of their affiliated companies. The way this looks, who wouldn't want to have a KP drink on a cold winter evening? Picture taken from the Boalsert KP Beerenburg Facebook page.

A promo display of quite a few bottles of Beerenburg and some glasses.

Miniature (40 cc) bottle of Plantinga Friesche Beerenburg.

Plantinga Friesche Beerenburg label. The signature on all these Friesche/Boeren-Beerenburg reads "Plantinga" but is not the same one as on all other Plantinga products. Scan by Peter Mulder.

Miniature (40 cc) bottle of Plantinga 34 Beerenburg. The signature on these bottles is the same as on most other Plantinga products, that of Louwrens Baltus Plantinga.
